Alfred Scott Keefe who was arrested on the 15th anniversary of Terri’s death remains detained at the State Correctional Institution at Albion in western Pennsylvania.
Initially, the murder case of Brooks went cold for 14 whole years. According to Oxygen Crime, later on, in 1998, a new police chief, Arnold Conoline reopened the case.
Lori Markle was assigned the case in the local prosecutor’s office to lead the investigation. They decided to renew the case because they had been the development in DNA technology during the 1990s.
That was when they interviewed Terri’s friend who was also her co-worker in the previous job, Cindy Bradney. The authorities never had asked her in the first investigation.
She revealed that Terry was thinking of calling off the wedding which gave the new look to the case. At the time, Keefe has already been married and had kids.
Though he stuck up with his story, the polygraph indicated he was lying. Eventually, he agreed that she wanted to break up with him which made him furious.
On the 15th anniversary of Terry’s death, he was sentenced to a lifetime in prison without the possibility of parole.
