The Truth About Robert Pattinson's Relationship With Suki Waterhouse ·

While Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse are the same in that they both act for a living, they have had markedly different career trajectories. Pattinson burst onto the scene with the "Twilight" saga. And now he's Batman. All this to say that Pattinson is well on his way to becoming a certifiable megastar (if he isn't there already). Waterhouse, though, is a multi-hyphenated talent on her own. The triple-threat performer has thrived as an actor, model, and singer.

So when the pop-culture laden "Gossip Girl" reboot took a dig at her — comparing her unfavorably to Pattinson — she wasn't going to take it lying down. In one of the show's episodes, Luna (Zión Moreno) attempts to contextualize Zoya (Whitney Peak) and Obie's (Eli Brown) romance by stating: "As far as the press is concerned, he's R-Patz and you're Suki Nobody."

A few days after the episode aired, a noticeably peeved Waterhouse took to Twitter to share her thoughts. "Another day to be reminded that women can also be the patriarchy," the actor wrote, tagging the show's Twitter handle and that of Lila Fienberg, the episode's writer. "Seeing critiques of the patriarchy and sexism, then I get name-checked as somebody's nobody's girlfriend. Make it make sense," she continued. While she has since deleted the tweets, the message was heard loud and clear — Suki Waterhouse is certainly not a "nobody," and she won't take kindly to being labeled one.
