Punch stats show that Tommy Fury out-landed Jake Paul in every round and earned more than double pow ·

According to the punch stats, Tommy Fury was utterly dominant in his split decision win over Jake Paul on Sunday night.

The Brit managed to make it back to his feet after a knockdown in the final round of the fight and he went on to be awarded the narrow victory over Paul.

While Paul managed to land a few heavy shots, it was Fury's jab that was the most successful punch of the night, the younger brother of WBC heavyweight world champions Tyson Fury landed it at will.

This showed in the Compubox punch stats, as Fury caught Paul with 39 of his jabs, compared to 25 that came back the other way.

Paul caught the eye with some of his power punches and even managed to score that final-round knockdown.

But, it was actually Fury who out-landed Paul by just over double in terms of power punches, the former finding a home for 49 power punches compared to Paul's 24.

One of the three judges scored the fight in favour of Paul, even though the punch stats show, Fury out-landed his American rival in every round.

Fury enjoyed particular success in round seven when he landed 17 punches compared to seven from Paul.

Despite what the punch stats show, Paul revealed in his post-fight interview that he is not convinced he lost.

Paul said: "All respect to Tommy, he won. Don't judge me by my wins, judge me by my losses.

"I'll come back, I think we deserve that rematch. It was a great fight, a close fight.

"I don't know if I agree with the judges. I got a 10-8 round twice, so it is what is."

Meanwhile, Fury disputed his knockdown, saying: "I'll be honest, there's no excuses coming from me. That wasn't a knockdown, that was a slip.

"That was genuinely a slip. I got up and I wasn't hurt, I got right back into it. That was a slip."
