Leaked footage shows Floyd Mayweather's new 17-year-old protg Curmel Moton winning pro debut by ·

Curmel Moton made his professional boxing debut in slightly strange circumstances on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

Floyd Mayweather's new 17-year-old protégé is highly rated as one of the USA's best young talents and showed it as he won his first pro fight.

1-0, I wanna thank Floyd Mayweather, Mayweather promotions, zues network, showtime sports, and most importantly my dad and the rest of my team🦍🌟

Moton was far too good for his opponent Ezequiel Flores as expected and knocked him out in the first round.

However, the debut took place as a walkout bout.

It was part of the Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo card, but happened after the main event.

The reason for this is likely that the organisers had no space to fit it on the main broadcast.

This meant that most of the fans had left the arena when Moton entered the ring.

And it was not shown live, with footage only leaking through social media.

Regardless, he got the job done in impressive fashion.

Mayweather spoke highly of Moton at the post-fight press conference too.

He even suggested that the youngster may return to the amateur code to represent Team USA at the Olympics.
