According to the autopsy, the infant had no physical defects or injuries at delivery.
The baby was found to have air in its lungs and stomach, indicating that it was probably delivered alive after 38 weeks of pregnancy. The infant may have suffocated, based on the autopsy.
According to the study, entrapment, or oxygen deprivation in a small space, was determined to be the cause of death, and murder was determined to be the method of death.
The allegations against Alexee Trevizo were to be the subject of her initial court appearance before Judge Jimmy Foster in Artesia Magistrate Court.
