Lozano was born in Mlaga, Spain, on February 23, 1979. He began his basketball career with Unicaja Mlaga's youth teams. He made his professional debut with the club in the 199899 season. Lozano played for Unicaja Mlaga for 10 seasons, winning the Copa del Rey in 2005. He also played for CB Granada, CB Estudiantes, and CAI Zaragoza.
Lozano retired from playing in 2013 and began his coaching career. He was an assistant coach at Unicaja Mlaga for two seasons before becoming the head coach in 2015.
