Charles William de La Poer Beresford, 1st Baron Beresford, GCB, GCVO, KCMG was a British Royal Navy officer and Conservative politician who served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Waterford from 1874 to 1880.
Beresford was born in Philipstown, King's County, Ireland, the son of George Beresford, 3rd Marquess of Waterford, and his wife, Louisa Stuart.
